Saturday, Dec 22nd Last Chance to see Juried Print Show

by Grid Guru Friday 21 of December, 2007 Posted to Life on the Grid, Grid Nightlife, Community Voices

Since we didn’t have a huge turnout last Thursday night and everyone is so busy with Holiday plans, the gallery will not be open tonight. But Saturday from noon to 3 pm will be the last day to see the Juried National Print Show. Three of those artists, Dale Clifford, Marcus Howell and Rodger Mark Walton will also have a group show from April 19th to May 18th.

Our next show opening on January 12th is Ann Tracy’s “Power: Grides and Shapes” opening on January 12th (2nd Saturday) and continuing to February 24th. Tracy is basing this new large-scale work on photographs of old factories and electric transformers along the Amtrack line from NYC to Washington DC and in Northern California. She is transforming the transformers, being a digital alchemist in taking base substance (photos of the mundane) and creating a strange kind of beauty. She will also show new fractal digital work.

Of course we will also continue to show CynStones, hand-crafted jewelry using genuine stones and crystals by Cynthia Burdick. Incorporating lampwork handmade glass beads and infused glass has been another creative touch she brings to her work. Each design is unique, no two necklaces or bracelets or earrings are ever alike.
