I enjoy working with individuals and couples who wish to align their investments with their environmental and social values. We begin by discussing the dreams you wish to achieve. With your objectives defined, we work together to manage your investments and your financial situation. Special care is taken to coordinate your investment preferences with your risk tolerance, tax status, liquidity/income need, emotional comfort level,
and your social values.

I have spent more than a quarter century advising clients about their investment, financial and tax needs. In 1999 I was named Best Financial Consultant by the Sacramento News and Review.

Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (CSU, Northridge 1971), Standard Secondary Teaching Credential with minor in Economics (CSU, Northridge 1972). Master's Degree in Government (CSU, Sacramento 1980). ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), QFP (Qualified Financial Planner), AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary).

Writings
I'm a freelance writer. More than one hundred of my financial columns and personal essays have been published. In 1998 I wrote and published Tending Your Money Garden (TYMG), a humorous yet practical money management primer that is in its second printing. TYMG won the 1999 Best Book award from the Sacramento Publishers and Authors.

Community Involvement
I currently serve on the board of directors of my broker-dealer, Protected Investors of America. I am past president of the Sacramento Publishers and Authors and the Sacramento Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning. I enjoy teaching people of all ages about proper money management and socially conscious investing. I am an occasional guest on radio and television programs. Every three months I teach a free class at the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op.

How I Work with Clients
Initial half-hour consultations are free for potential investors
Financial and tax consultations: $125 per hour
Fee-based investing: generally 1.25-1.75% per year based on the amount of money under management and the level of service needed. Commission-based investments are used for accounts under $50,000.
