My wife and I lived at 1801 L from May until August 2011. We had the best time whilst in California, and a large part of that was how comfortable we found our apartment at 1801 L.

From start to finish the management team girls are exceptionally attentive and helpful. The maintenance guys are also really friendly. Sometimes you come out of your apartment in the morning and candy has been left by management as a thank you on your door handle. Nice touch.

Our apartment which I believe is indicative of others felt very new. Nice wood floors, brand new kitchen appliances, loads of room. There is a nice pool in the inner courtyard with card-access for residents.

EVERYONE we met in and around the building was professional and courteous. I have no idea what the comment re. housing assistance people is about. There are no issues at this property, none that we perceived or heard. I think this is bogus and if not, does not manifest in any way...The building is situated right bang in the middle of Midtown and as such is surrounded by loads of restaurant options. It's a great area if you like food. It's super close to the park too. Right downstairs there is a fantastic frozen yoghurt place, the best chocolate shop in the US and a superb bakery/coffee shop. Starbucks is just a quick 3 minute walk up L also.

Everyone around Midtown is friendly and the overall area has a nice feel about it. There are often events taking place around the area and people come out to take advantage of restaurant offers.
