I actually came to find this book store on a flook. Just walking around one day and it peaked my interest. Now Ive come to find that it's hard to find another book store with as much character as Time Tested Books. The prices aren't too steep and there is bound to be something for everyone!
Great place for enlightenment

I went to see George Lakoff speak at Time Tested Books and really enjoyed the experience. The books store put on a great event, with a terrific speaker. When the start time was running late, the staff kept the audience updated and relaxed. There was plenty of seating and overall I was excited to be able to attend such a good event on a Sunday afternoon in Sac! Meanwhile, they had a good selection and ecclectic finds. I would definitely go back.
...in a book, of course. I love dropping by when in the neighborhood. Decent prices, plus they have new books when they don't have a lightly used copy in stock. I've found all kinds of unique stuff here, and they have a huge selection of , uh, left leaning volumes as well. If you're in search of a simple classic and don't want to shell out $15 for a decent copy at B&N or Borders (as I've often been guilty of doing), stop by here and you can get it for a fraction of the price. Have wee ones in tow? Someone (or perhaps a collection of people) unloaded a nice selection of Dr Suess books for the kiddos as a great addition to their children's section.
Four stars - but only because it can't satisfy the night reader in me.
