 | June 18th - 27th 2010The Sacramento French Film Festival (SFFF) is a unique cultural event that brings people together around films and French culture in a festive atmosphere. The SFFF celebrates the artistic, cultural, social and historical values of film. The SFFF fosters friendly relations between American and French people through the universal language of the 7th Art. The SFFF is an annual summer event, held at the Crest theatre in Downtown Sacramento. It is dedicated to celebrating the present as well as the rich history of French cinema by premiering new films, rarely seen classics, French short films, and local shorts with a « French flavor » produced by Sacramento artists. The SFFF opens each year on a Friday night with a catered reception followed by the opening film. Films continue all day long Saturday and Sunday for two consecutive weekends. Midnight movies are presented on Saturdays for mature audiences. The Festival concludes on a Sunday night with an informal champagne party following the closing film. All films are presented in French with English subtitles. Each film is shown either once or twice. Tickets are available for single films & passes are available for special events, one weekend, and for the whole festival.
