I'll meet you here for drinks anytime

by alexis, Friday 14 of November, 2008 (22:34:42)

This is a nice place to come for drinks. Full bar, extensive wine selecton, 20+ beers on tap and fun beer "cocktails" (e.g., hefeweizen with peach schnapps). I don't eat meat so I appreciate that I can get any burger with a Garden Burger instead. The blue cheese kettle chips are exceptional.

Learn to brew with no clean up...awesome.

Round up a group of beer loving friends and reserve yourselves a brew night. It's the perfect introduction to brewing your own beer: Professional equipment, helpful staff, quality ingredients, affordable, and best of all...someone else handles the clean-up. They offer so many different styles of beer to brew that you can satisfy even the most snobbish beer fiend. A great experience.

Good Beer Good Fun

by michellekral, Friday 22 of August, 2008 (12:52:50)

Fun place to go on a date or out with friends on an evening. Good vibe and one of the most diverse menus in all of Sacramento, If you feel like a burger you can get a great one, or salmon on a bed of polenta. And a good drink to wash it down with.

Good Beer, Bad Smell

by unifiedac, Tuesday 12 of August, 2008 (16:01:14)

As I ride my bicycle home from work every day down H Street, the lovely aroma of brewing ale catches the wind.  After months of passing the restaurant and resisting all temptations, my wife and I decided to dine at the Brew It Up!  in downtown Sacramento.

Unfortunately, we had arrived on a night where absolutely no brewing was taking place and the smell of damp copper vats could be recognized.  This aroma overpowered any smells from the kitchen and even the food at the table.

Note to self:  visit brewery when beer is being brewed.

I love beer and I love Brew it Up because it is the only palce I know that you can make your own beer. The beer they already have is awesome. But its a great experience to be able to make your own.

Beer!

Tons of good beer on tap, and you can only find it in the restaurant. The food is really good too!

Slightly off the beaten path, this has been my favorite place to fill a growler for years. The brews are hand crafted and yummy, yummy. With my affinity for the Belgian beers, I have been a little disappointed, not because they don't measure up flavor wise, but because they are often out. I've only been able to score my favorites about 40% of the time. Thankfully the other ales are delicious, as well.

Love the onion rings and beer!

Brew It Up! has amazing onion rings - best in town -  that are the perfect food to go along with the many great beers to choose from. The service is excellent and I like the atmosphere. It's casual and fun and you can see them brew the beer right there.  They have a vast menu with lots to choose from including some really good salads.
