Deep Yoga – A True Gem of Sacramento

by mexicandragonfly, Saturday 18 of October, 2008 (18:05:46)
I have been a Deep Yoga follower for years now. I find myself becoming more and more convinced of the benefits of the deep style of Kundalina yoga. Kundalina yoga involves a complex combination of breath exercises that focus on a certain center of the body or area of development. One class might lead you to open up the throat center, leading you to greater clarity in speech, while another may be designed to help you become more grounded and balanced. Whatever the focus, each class promises to take you to new levels of connectedness with yourself. Knowing this, I find myself walking through Deep’s doors each time I am in need of that profound sense of calm that Deep provides. If you are willing to go Deep, there’s no better place to do it than Deep Yoga. Written by Krishna

Kundalini yoga re-energizes

by kelly_c, Thursday 03 of July, 2008 (14:43:56)

I tried Kundalini yoga last Tuesday at Deep with owner Christine. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of energy that I felt after completing the class. The pranayama exercises and chanting were different from the other types of yoga that I have focused on in the past few years and were a welcome change. I plan to investigate this style more.

The atmosphere at Deep was very welcoming. The space was clean, comfortably cool, and once the curtains to the street were pulled, a good space for focusing.

This is an incredibly powerful style of yoga that allows you to break through emotional blockages. It helps to create that internal space that helps you to be present to oppurtunity and growth. The teachers at this studio are uplifting and well trained. I love the space that has been created at deep.

If you haven't yet tried Kundalini yoga, you are missing out on its pure healing and transformative properties. Unique to Kundalini yoga are the driving principles of intensive breath work, the moving of energy up through the chakras and mantra focused on connecting one to the current of universal love. The instructors bring light to the beautiful space and are encouraging to new students.
