We Love Java Lounge!!!
We have had such great experiences at Java Lounge! The quality of the coffee, food, art, and music is outstanding. This is a business that supports the local scene whole heartedly. Java Lounge is a family-owned and run business, and the owners have been welcoming and kind every time I've been there. Maybe the "student" (aka deadbeat) referred to in the previous review should have bought something and supported the business whose wifi and electricity he was using.
Just Bad buisness!!!
Students are not welcome, the owner made it quite clear!!!!!! I have never experienced such rude treatment!!
I heard him Yell, actually yell at someone who was setting up to study! I was glad that i didn't decide to study there! it was so bad That i was waiting to get my coffee and just left!
We love The Java Lounge!
My husband and I love JL. It's nice to have and alternative to you-know-who. The atmosphere is fab and the service has always been fast and friendly. The staff never makes me feel like the soccer mom I am. We like to take the kids. They think it's cool and they enjoy the couches!
The coffee is always GREAT! Java Lounge is a perfect place to stop for a cup of Joe before hitting the freeways.
Keep it up guys!!
Sunday at Java Lounge provides a great scene
I went to Java Lounge today to see The Heather Show perform, and was pleasantly surprised by the can-do punk rock attitude of the place, with no pretentiousness! The walls were covered in local paintings (and local photography, but that would be a review for another time) and the center of the room contained a massive orange couch for sitting and relaxing. You can't go wrong wth Old Soul products and the staff was friendly. The music was great too. I would definitely go back. I'm adding Java Lounge to my list of coffee places where I would hang out awhile instead of order and dash.
Warm, Friendly, Inviting, FUN!
I look forward to a relaxing time at Java Lounge. Great place to hang out, and bless them for providing a free (with purchase) pc computer in the cafe. Drinks are a bit pricey and Java Lounge could use a wider food selection, but Java Lounge and Espresso Metropolitan (11th & Freeport, 1 block toward downtown from Sac City College) are the two coffee houses/cafes I feel genuinely GREAT about supporting because they truly ADD to our community. Also, both places have outstandingly friendly and competent staff.
Java Lounge
By Aaris A. Schroeder
Yet another café known for open-mics, indie rock and live hip-hop like State Cap and Tribe of Levi – this place is warm and inviting as couches line the walls and the servers are friendly and warm to the touch – well, at least the coffee is.
Java Lounge is especially great for allowing local urban artists such as Skinner aerosol the walls with his artistry. Thursday nites are all about local music and 2nd Saturday always has something popping. If you haven’t checked out this fun café near Broadway on 16th – get your booty in gear and get on over there.
