Sundays Only
The late night scene at the Dragonfly is always active and bustling, but the prices you pay for the quality of food just isn't fair. To make up for the overpriced drinks and sushi, Dragonfly offers a great happy hour and 1/2 off sushi on Sundays for most of the day. With $3 beers and $2.50 sake bombs, it's hard to say no!
once was enough!
Some friends and I walked to Dragonfly Saturday night and with surprise there was no cover. Once inside, we paid
$7 for a well drink served in a plastic cup filled to the brim with ice. At least a glass, come on! The people there
were not attractive for my single friends so that put a damper on thier night. Only 6 people are allowed outside to
smoke at a time yet there are 7 tables. The cops are always outside in case a fight breaks out and overall, I'd
rather go anywhere else.
DragonFly -Try, Try Again?
Similar to Jenevie, my original experience (along with many at our table of 10) left a bitter taste in the mouth - The food was definitely "lacking". When we were asked how our food was and were politely honest about what disappointed us, the eyes glazed over, the vacant sign went up and the feedback from our mouths landed like a thud in a bone-dry well.
I've since been back for drinks but nothing more.
But when Zocalo overfloweth, Dragonfly does seem to call... So perhaps I'll give it one more try... and bring some pennies for good luck this time.
