This is a very nice and comfortable bike shop

by Jon, Friday 09 of May, 2008 (04:26:01)
I'm a fairly avid recreational cyclist and have been around many of the local shops. What I've noticed is different about the Bicycle Chef is that they are focused on the customer. I once had a broken part on my bike and went in to order a new one. They had just closed but the employees were happy to help and they went the extra step and actually made a temporary repair on the spot, so I could make it out for Second Saturday. When it came time to pay they said it was complementary and to just think of them when I had bike related needs. Well, I was so happy I insisted on paying $5 as a token but more importantly I always go there first for any bike needs. Finally, the people here are approachable and never come off as arrogant the way so many bicycle shop employees do. Very highly recommended.

Bicycle Chef (not to be confused with the Bicycle Kitchen, which is equally good but different...) has been my preferred bike store for years. They only sell good things, they give you expert advice for free, and they sometimes have free coffee. I had them do a "bike fit" and make some adjustments to my seat and handlebars, and now I'm super comfortable on my bike.  $50 very well spent.

Great service and selection. The staff are alway very helpful and know their stuff.  I've been really happy with all our purchases, especially the Giant kids bike trailor we got a few years ago. They helped us determine which was the best fit for our family and now we all bike around town!
