Welcome to La Trattoria Bohemia. We are located along the popular strip of J and 36th Street and serve traditional Czech and Italian dishes, including our delicious home-made pizzas.
If you've never eaten Czech food, we invite you to try our traditional Schnitzel, our tender beef goulash dish or indulge in our potato pancakes served with applesauce and sour cream. If you're in the mood for Italian food, try our classic cheese tortellini or lasagna. For dessert, there is also plenty to choose from such as our tantalizing but light cheesecake made of sweetened ricotta cheese on a homemade crust. Or try our apple strudel, tiramisu or ice cream truffles! For our complete menu, please visit the La Trattoria Bohemia website.

It was one of the first sets of storms back in early November when my boyfriend and I parked along side J St. during rush hour, which is the perfect time to come; by the way to La Trattoria Bohemia.
It was cold and rainy outside so we opted for a warmer seating arrangement away from the front door but when the crowds started to come in we could feel the brisk late fall wind entering into La Trattoria.
We waited patiently for our salad to arrive and snacked on this very tasty white bread served with butter. Our salad was crisp and tasty.
I don't eat mammals so we ordered a pizza with veggies, when it arrived to our table we were quite impressed. Just by the look of the pizza it appeared homemade; thick, soft bread-like crust -- not quite Chicagian and definately not thin like California pizza. Who am I kidding, this is a traditional Czech and Italian restaurant - they make it the real way!
We dove into the pizza, I could only handle one piece -- it was very delicious and as much as I wanted to chow down on a second, my stomach was telling me no. We washed it down with Euro-style beers, I tried a Belgian and left with a great story to tell our friends.
Maybe I should have had the pizza
but I wanted to check out Czech food so I ordered their special sandwich WITHOUT mayo. The sandwich arrived some time later, but with mayo, so I had to send it back. When it came back out, it was cold so all the grated cheese did not melt but fell out of what really was a salami sandwish. I was very disappointed. Wish they had listed the potato pancakes on the lunch menu.
I agree - great neighborhood spot
Right off the bat, we had a very friendly waitress. We had Pene w/ aglio and oglio and Ravioli with Pesto sauce along with mixed salads.
AWESOME! Next time, I want a dish with red cabbage and potato pancakes. We will go back!
The atmosphere was comfortable, not stuffy.
Wonderful neighborhood spot
This place has really good food, and great service. I love the cozy neighborhood atmosphere. Try the homemade ravioli. The pizza and lasagna are delicious too.
Wonderful spot...
You can't go wrong here eating here
Super Fab and Delish
Great Pizza and traditional czech meals. Friendly staff and nice neighborhood atmosphere
Combo lasted 3 days!
One large Vegetarian Pizza and a loaf of bread made for 3 meals for 2 of us, with bread left-over.
A sumptious feast even if we didn't have a coupon. Thanks!
Love the Pizza
