- Wed, July 31
The Urban Hive
1931 H Street
- 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Did you know that we have honey bees to thank for 1 in 3 bites of the food we eat? As the Farm-to-Fork Capital, Sacramento’s economic viability is tied to the success of bees. Their health is currently at risk due to a blend of factors, including pesticides, malnutrition and stress.
Join us for our panel discussion with local experts at the Urban Hive to discuss increased bee deaths, city ordinances and beekeeping. Learn how you can get involved to improve conditions for bees in your own yard, and also through local bee-friendly policy.
Tickets are $15 dollars and include a ton of honeyed goodness:
- Exclusive pre-release tasting of New Helvetia’s honey beer, brewed with local honey provided by Lienert’s Honey
- Honey tacos courtesy of Tequila Museu Mayuel and their brand new taco cart.
- Honey kombucha provided by Kombucha Kulture
- Honey tasting provided by Lienert’s Honey
We’ll be taking donations for the Sacramento Area Beekeepers Association, who will have a representative on our panel and will also bring an observation hive so attendees can catch the bees in action.
We promise, you’ll bee inspired!
