Facebook: Storytellers, Empress Niko & Lions Paws

The Sacto Storytellers strive to move your feet with a blend of ska, rocksteady, reggae, and soul riddums delivered with an unapologetic punk rock attitude. Sacramento’s Empress Niko and The Lions Paw features big talent and good vibes. A band that is always ready to rock crowds with its dance-able roots reggae tunes and hypnotic rhythms and vocals. Their’s is a love infused righteous elevation of reggae music, which aims to build a Lions Paw tribe in every city and town.

Empress Niko and Lions Paw started in June,2010 and became Empress Niko and Irielicious, after Empress Niko left Philadelphia, and moved back to her hometown of Sacramento,California.Irielicious began as original vocals,(and a few covers)on JA foundation riddims and some traditional ska tunes.Hoping to merge influences of the best soundsystems and live roots acts that come hot from the islands that we admire…Lions Paw plays mostly roots, some roots style lovers rock, but with a likkle ska , rocksteady or dub.a great band for true lovers of reggae music. The musicians unify for a musical kinship thru their shared love of reggae. We began putting roots messages of peace, love, fun & rasta consciousness pon danceable foundation riddims and original reggae.
