See the show or be the show! The University Union’s UNIQUE Programs is pleased to announce the return of hypnotist, Tom DeLuca on Thursday, March 7^th, 2019. The event will be held in the University Union Ballroom at 7:30pm.

Formerly a clinical hypnotist, DeLuca performs at colleges and universities throughout the nation and has been performing annually at Sac State for 40 years, delivering a thrilling brand of humorous improvisation and mental thought projection. He takes volunteers from the audience and turns them loose to follow his outrageous suggestions. In past shows, volunteers have “gone fishing,” become cartoon characters, imitated aliens, huddled together due to imaginary cold, and regressed to the age of five to sing television theme songs from their childhood. DeLuca recognizes the importance of the imagination and shows audiences how valuable a tool it can be.

DeLuca has been featured on several television talk shows, on the cover of the Wall Street Journal, and in both People and Rolling Stone magazines. He has been ranked in Newsweek’s top ten list of nationwide college comedy/variety arts act, and voted “Campus Entertainer of the Year” several times by the National Association for Campus Activities.

“I was always interested in how people thought and really fascinated by the imagination,” said DeLuca. “With hypnosis, it is real magic when people see things that are not there. When volunteers are up there (on stage), they become very creative, and to me, that is real magic.”

The event is free for students and the general public.
