Skool’s leaders and team are committed to doing what’s right for the Earth and the community. The cuisine is seafood centric with Japanese flair and Skool’s practices revolve around the core values of sourcing sustainable, using local ingredients whenever possible, and being conscious of waste production and disposal. Skoo’s fish is caught or farmed with consideration for the long-term effects it will have on the environment. Skool on K is committed to making responsible seafood choices that promote the health of our oceans even if it means a little extra homework.
Andy Mirabell left Sacramento to go to college. Now, the restaurateur has brought his Skool back home with him. The sister to Mirabell’s San Francisco restaurant with the same name, Skool offers a menu of Japanese-California fusion seafood with a little Italy, France and Spain stirred into the eclectic mix. “Japanese (cuisine) has such clean flavors,” Mirabell said, “but I’m a California boy, so it’s not just Japanese.
