I'm Julia and I am the co-founder of sacramento.downtowngrid.com.  I started this venture when I was a graphic design student at Sac State in 2004. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and has just moved to Sacramento from the Bay Area. We lived in Midtown and thought it was a pretty cool place. Far cooler than our Bay Area friends led it to be....we could not find any info about Midtown online so we did a lot of walking and discovering. I was inspired by the many local small businesses and wanted to get them online. The majority of them didn't  have websites so I started a directory and created profile pages for some of my favorite places.

Four years late, we have a pretty incredible little team, who all share a vision of  vibrant local community. And here it is, our new website, to connect you online and on the ground.
