Please join the Arthritis Foundation for the 11th annual Arthritis Foundation Golf Tournament on Friday, September 24, 2021. Enjoy a great day of golf knowing your generosity and support will fund critical research, education and advocacy initiatives to improve quality of life those affected by arthritis.

Registration for this event closes Monday, September 20th. Event Check-in begins at 1:30PM the day of and the Golf Tournament begins at 3PM.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
