New Year-New Art-New Artists for 2nd Saturday at the I Street Art Studios
Stop by and see the works of 30 “new” artists from the Sacramento community who have been invited to join us on January 11 from 2-8 pm at the I Street Art Studios at 1727 I street.
You’ll see exciting new works from both emerging and established artists who will be new to you. Expect new techniques, styles, media and approaches, as well as the more traditional, and mixed-in, some 3D artwork for you to savor.
As always, the 4 studios of our 18 resident artists will be open for your enjoyment. Come visit with us, we love to talk art and have a new show every 2nd Saturday. The I Street Art Studios—voted Sacramento’s Favorite Art Gallery!

You`re invited to a special free screening of ‘Burning Injustice’ on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento! Join environmental justice advocates, legislators, and members of the Capitol community in watching the journey of Modesto Latino activists John Mataka and Bianca Lopez as they battle toxic pollution and health risks caused by one of California’s last trash incinerators.
This event is free and open to the public.
🎟️ Doors open at 5 pm and the screening begins at 6 pm.
🍿 Refreshments and popcorn will be provided.
💬 Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion featuring the filmmaker, stars of the documentary, and former Assemblymember Cristina Garcia, a trailblazer in environmental legislation.
