Description
Awakening in a season where crops and fruits are gathered, and leaves fall to cover the dry ground beyond us, we invite you to our first annual Autumnus Primus. A tribute to the transitioning of the Summer season into the Fall quarter. During this pre-autumn kick-off, we will continue to showcase Sacramento’s local artists and vendors, followed by a series of live performances throughout the night of August 31st, from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
The Open Mic will commence at 8:30 pm shortly after the headline performers have left the stage. A signup sheet will be passed around throughout the night so be sure to show up early to get a good spot and witness the entirety of Autunmus Primus in full effect. Live Performances by Sonny Vibes and JustIs. Food and Drinks served all night. Music provided by DJ Theatre Mutiny.
5$ suggested donation or just wear any combination of the following colors for free entry: Red, Orange, Yellow, Brown.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
