Sacramento State’s Combat U program is set to return with its second installment of ‘Battle at the Hive’ on Saturday, September 6, at The Nest at Sacramento State. Building on the success of last year’s debut, the event will once again feature top Combat U athletes competing in amateur MMA bouts alongside Jiu-Jitsu matches throughout the night. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with competition beginning at 7:00 p.m.

‘Battle at the Hive 2’ is part of the Combat U Amateur Series, an initiative designed to build a competitive platform for university-backed combat sports. In partnership with Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat, the series is fully sanctioned by the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization (CAMO), and spotlights the talent of the program’s roster in its second year.
