Each year, we celebrate the grape harvest by inviting our friends to join our member wineries to get in on this most exciting time of year. Visit each of our participating wineries where you will be welcomed to our scenic foothills of Amador Wine Country by the entire wine community.
BIG CRUSH is a grand time to see the harvest in action and this year will be no exception. Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you’re invited to see the Crush in full swing. Your ticket includes scenes teeming with vineyards, trudging tractors, and bustling crush pads accompanied by incomparable Amador wine region hospitality! Creative food & wine pairings, a variety of live music, and harvest activities are all included in the ticket price and presented by warm and friendly family wineries.
Advance tickets for The Big Crush Harvest Wine Festival are $55 for both days, $45 for Sunday only. Designated driver tickets are $15. Day of tickets are $65 for both days, $50 for Sunday only.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

Sacramento Marina, 2710 Ramp Way
"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
