Camp Fire in Paradise was the worst fire in California’s history. In Paradise, the public library and most public schools burned to the ground (in addition to many homes). This resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of books. Sacramento State’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is collecting and donating books to help replace the ones that burned. Its goal? 7,000 books, with a primary emphasis is children’s books, although books for teens and adults are accepted as well.
There is a box in the lobby on the first floor of the department where you can drop the books off through April 30.
