Nov. 2, 2018-Jan 21, 2019

The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink returns Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, to St. Rose of Lima Park in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Open daily through Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink offers visitors an enhanced skating experience with rink improvements, extended operating hours and more exciting special events than ever before.

“For nearly three decades, the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink has been a part of winter traditions for Sacramentans,” said Michael Ault, Executive Director of Downtown Sacramento Partnership. “This year, we’re launching a new era of excitement to complement the surrounding area that’s being filled by unique activities like the 17 retailers and restaurants opening soon at The Hardin across K Street from the rink. We can’t wait to see the first skaters take to the ice this November and enjoy what we’ve worked so hard to create!”

New this year, the famous oval shape of the city’s only outdoor ice rink has been expanded into a rounded square, increasing skater capacity by 25 percent and providing a better experience for skaters and bystanders. This new shape prompted Downtown Sacramento Partnership to also refresh the Ice Rink logo to embody its new and improved “look”.
