He’s the recipient of the Maple Blues Award for Harmonica Player of the Year for 3 consecutive years; Blues Artist of the Year Nominee for the Western Canadian Music Awards – also for three consecutive years; and recently crowned Blues Artist of the Year at the Fraser Valley Music Awards. Top that of with the fact that he’s the only Canadian artist to receive the coveted Muddy Award from the Cascade Blues Association. Most recently he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta.
Harpdog Brown is one of Canada’s most distinctive blues singers and harp masters. He keeps it traditional, adding his own flair, energy and humour to great material, presented with swinging phrasing and solid, deep playing. His best work yet!

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
