Zumba Toning with Kelly (age 50+)
When: Tuesdays, September 8th – October 6th
Time: 9:00 am – 10 am
Location: Zoom video conference (link will be provided)
Fee: $25 for 5 classes
This virtual class incorporates physical exercise using light Zumba weights and dance steps to the rhythms of Cumbia, Merengue, Mambo, Salsa, Samba and much more. Join us on Zoom to discover how easy and fun losing weight, toning your muscles and getting in shape can be! Beginners are always welcome, this class is for all levels and shapes. "The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
