Access to salt and fresh water, foothills and mountains, rice fields, and wetland basins makes Sacramento one of America’s top recreation areas for fishing, hunting, boating, offroading, and watersports. That’s why ISE Sacramento attracts sports enthusiasts from the Bay area to Nevada, southern Oregon to central California. They’re seeking new products, wanting to research and book travel, try gear, learn from experts, and have a fun day out with buddies and family.
Special show features throughout this giant event spotlight outdoor activities, gear, and destinations–all hosted by experts. For parents with kiddos, the expo’s Youth Fair offers free, hands-on activities. Multiple buildings and outside space create room for the hundreds of exhibitors and attendees.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
