This casual bicycle ride is appropriate for riders 13 and up (minors must be accompanied by an adult).

While most of the ride is on dedicated bike paths, east Sacramento and Boulevard Park will involve riding with traffic.

This is a morning ride starting at Marshall Park then west through Boulevard Park, north across the American River on the Sacramento Northern Bikeway, and then paralleling the American River east on the Jedediah Smith Memorial Parkway crossing into East Sacramento and then back to Boulevard Park. It’s a beautiful 10.6 mile ride.

There are a number of great restaurants along J street that would be perfect for a post-ride lunch. There is also the Sacramento Pride Festival with booths, food, shopping, and bicycle parking. https://sacramentopride.org/travel/
