The Color Wild will be returning to Sacramento State as part of UNIQUE Programs’ Wednesday Nooner series. Nooners are always free and are hosted every Wednesday during the academic semester at 12 pm, featuring local artists and entertainment, in the University Union. The Color Wild will be performing on Wednesday, May 2nd for UNIQUE’s final Nooner of the semester. This event takes place at 12 pm in the University Union’s Serna Plaza. This event is co-sponsored by Sacramento State’s First Year Experience.

The Color Wild is a local indie pop quartet from Sacramento. The band describes their music as a blend of “modern pop melodies and synth keyboards.” Their songs tell stories of their real-life experiences and what inspires them most as a band. The Color Wild has performed at Sacramento State multiple times, one included opening for the famous rock band, We the Kings. They have also performed at Concerts In The Park, along with Franz Ferdinand, Mino Yanci and JMSEY. The band released new music in 2018.

This Nooner is also a celebration for Sac State’s FYE Peer Mentors, who work closely with first year students to improve the retention and graduation rates, a goal that is directly aligned with the CSU system wide Graduation Initiative. The “One is Done” event marks one year of college completed for freshmen on campus. There will be free cookies, giveaways, and a photo booth available at the event.

There will also be free popcorn to anyone who attends.
