Retired UC Davis poetry professors Gary Snyder and Sandra McPherson will be on hand to introduce notable Hmong poet Pos Moua at the Poetry Night Reading Series on Thursday, May 16th at 8 PM at the John Natsoulas Gallery. Pos Moua, a refugee of the Secret War in Laos, and a graduate of the creative writing program at UC Davis, Moua is a member of Hmong American Writers’ Circle (HAWC). He has published book like “Where the Torches are Burning” and “How Do I Begin?: A Hmong American Literary Antholog. “His newest collection of poems is Karst Mountains Will Bloom, just published by Blue Oak Press.
