Sacramento Roller Derby is back at The Rink!

Join us at The Rink for a doubleheader featuring our A and C teams! First, our C team, Kodiak Attack, will face the Seabright Sirens from Santa Cruz Derby Girls. Then our A team, the Capital MaulStars, will take on Misery Loves Company out of San Jose. In addition to the awesome gameplay, we’ll have a bar, raffle prizes, and even MORE new merchandise!

VIP Doors: 6:15 pm
GA Doors: 6:30 pm
Kodiak Attack vs. Seabright Sirens: 7:00 pm
Capital Maulstars vs. Misery Loves Company: 9:00 pm

Adult GA: $15 presale and at the door
Kids 8-12 GA: $8 presale and at the door
Kids 7 and under free

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.

Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.

Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

Sacramento Marina, 2710 Ramp Way

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).

There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
