Description
A class for the actor seeking proficiency in delivering clear and compelling Shakespearean dialogue onstage. Through exploration of Shakespeare’s compositional elements, cultural context and acting techniques, students will develop a practical approach to effectively conveying the meaning and emotional content of the Bard’s language to a modern audience. A general familiarity with Shakespeare’s canon is preferable, but not necessary. Comfortable clothing is recommended, as is materials for taking notes. Participation is essential.
