Description
Each month this summer HI Sacramento is hosting an outdoor movie at the beautiful hostel downtown. Join us the last Saturday of the month for food, drinks, activities, and of course the Silver Screen!
May 25 – Anchorman
June 29 – Dirty Dancing
July 27 – Space Jam
August 31 – Mean Girls
Each movie takes us back to a different decade, so pull out your vintage clothes! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, etc. and relax! Complimentary popcorn and water will also be provided, with bbq and drinks available for donations.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

Sacramento Marina, 2710 Ramp Way
"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
