5/24, Noon-1pm: What’s Brewing at S Street Cafe? (2829 S Street): Some say coffee originated from Ethiopia when a farmer discovered his goats becoming excited after eating beans from a coffee plant. This humorous story is just one of the many urban legends concerning coffee’s origin. Join us at our S Street cafe as we learn about the history of the coffee plant and how coffee went from a wild shrub to a multi-billion dollar industry.
