Roa Brothers is a Sacto art rock band and they do new wave and garage psych. Yo! and the Electric formed in 2017 and are inspired by Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, and The Beach Boys. Check out their psychedelic jams with 60’s pop sensibilities and jazz undertones on their EP, Spartacus. Samantha Vaughn brings alternative rock, an exploration of love, grief, revenge and war with this upcoming original band. The result is honest, sincere, and hopeful. Live tasteful and stunning arrangements made by Craig Rhinehart (guitar), Robert Wickland (drums), and Laura Sterner (bass).

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
