The Torch Club host JonEmery & The Unconventionals Last Wednesdays of the month.
The Torch Club – Sacramento’s Premiere Blues Club. Established in 1934, it is one of Sacramento’s oldest bars and is home to the best in local and national blues acts with live music six days a week.
JonEmery & The Unconventionals – the traditionally unconventional Sacramento Area band blending Country, Blues, Folk & CowPunk together to create their own style of American Roots Music. They weave new and personal stories about highways, hangovers & heartache with a sense of humor & humility.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

Sacramento Marina, 2710 Ramp Way
"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
