Old Sac After Hours Tours on Saturday evenings at 6pm!
Our Guides will immerse you in the wilder side of Sacramento City’s early days. The 90-minute, adults only tour peels the layers off Old Sacramento to reveal the raucous city, full of mischief, mayhem, madness, madams … and murder.
Spend a night on the new town with a shady character from the past, who’ll show you around to the saloons, gaming halls, theaters and houses of ill-fame – places you can only see in the twilight. Meet swindlers, soiled doves and sneaky speculators! Hear all the gossip on murders of passion, political intrigue, and the century’s most notorious woman! Needless to say, you must be 18 or older to take part.
Relive the night life of Gold Rush Sacramento – if you dare!
Old Sac After Hours tours depart from the Sacramento History Museum, 101 I Street in Old Sacramento. This half-mile guided historical walking tour lasts about 90 minutes and visits areas with uneven surfaces and low ceilings. The tour is ADA compliant and can accommodate up to 15 people.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to pick up your tickets at the front desk of the museum. Tours depart from the museum precisely on time.
Tours run rain or shine – please dress for the weather, and we recommend comfortable, closed-toe shoes for the uneven terrain of the tour.
