Teton Gravity Research double-header

Join Teton Gravity Research for a doubleheader as they bring both of their new films to the Crest. It all kicks off with the premiere of their annual ski and snowboard film, Winterland, followed by their new snowboarding film, Roadless, featuring legends Jeremy Jones, Travis Rice and Bryan Iguchi on a foot-powered mission through some of the most remote terrain in the lower-48. One ticket gets you access to both films!

Times: 6:30 doors, Winterland at 7:00, Roadless at 8:30

Teton Gravity Research (TGR) is an action sports media company based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The company was founded in 1996 by brothers Steve and Todd Jones, as well as friends Dirk Collins and Corey Gavitt. The friends launched the company to create products that came from the perspective of athletes, showcased youth culture, and fueled the progression taking place in action sports.

TGR works closely with top athletes to create multimedia content, products, and events that capture and celebrate the passion and enthusiasm of action sports. "The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.

Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.

Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).

There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
