Description
Monday Yoga at Camp Pollock with Summer Ward
Start the week off with an hour dedicated to grounding yourself in nature with yoga, join Summer Ward with Seasons Of Summer for YOGA at Camp Pollock every Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:30pm. Yoga will be on the deck when weather permits. Please bring your own mat, water and cash donations. All attendees will be required to sign a liability release to attend.
This donation-based, seasonally-inspired class will support the preservation, restoration and outings of the Sacramento Valley Conservancy (recommended donation $10-$15).

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
