The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink has been a seasonal landmark on The Kay for over 20 years, providing a playful escape into a winter wonderland for kids and adults alike. The City of Sacramento established the rink back in 1991 and soon after the
Downtown Sacramento Partnership assumed operation and management of the rink with the goal of creating a signature holiday experience for the region.
Situated in the heart of Downtown, at the doorstep of the Golden 1 Center in Ali Youssefi Park, the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink presented by Downtown Commons is a treasured #URBANholiday destination for outdoor skating and a launching pad for exploring the ever-booming central city.
The seasonal ice rink is open annually from November to January and conveniently provides skate and locker rentals on site. The rink is also available for group reservations, whether you’re hosting a birthday party, school field trip, office party, charity event or festive activity for a group of friends.
