Brought to you by River City Food Bank.

Empty Bowls is River City Food Bank’s largest fundraising event to raise awareness in the fight against hunger in Sacramento County. Empty Bowls 2016 was attended by more than 1,500 people and raised more than $200,000, 96% of which directly funded our food programs. This year River City Food Bank hopes to raise more than $220,000 to help meet the growing need in our community.

The evening soup supper and luncheon seatings will be held at the Sacramento Convention Center in Downtown Sacramento. The evening soup supper features wine, appetizers, gourmet soup, breads and dessert  from Classique Catering. Luncheon guests will enjoy a simple meal of soup from great local restaurants, bread, cookies and beverages.

All attendees will select one of over 1,600 beautiful handmade bowls donated by professional potters, glass artists, wood turners, and area students to take home with them as a reminder of the many in our community who are hungry and face an empty bowl each day.
