ARTHOUSE on R is proud to present an art exhibition of poured watercolors by Sandy Delehanty at ARTHOUSE on R Gallery, 1021 R Street in Sacramento.  There will be a Second Saturday reception on Sept 13 from 5-8pm.

In addition, the artist is participating in Sac Open Studios 2025 and will be at the   ARTHOUSE  Gallery Saturday and Sunday (September 13 and 14) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. She will demonstrate her process of pouring watercolors bothdays at 2:00 pm.

Delehanty says, “Recently I have been drawn to painting water scenes. Spending time sketching and photographing the rocks and water of Lake Tahoe, waterfalls in Yosemite and geysers in Yellowstone has been good for the soul and inspired many of the paintings in this show. In a way you could call this show an antidote to stress!”

Sandy Delehanty is a national award winning artist known for watercolor paintings of vibrant glowing colors created using layer upon layer of transparent liquid watercolor pigment poured from cups onto wet paper.

Delehanty holds Master Signature Status in the national organization American Women Artists (AWAM). She has achieved Signature Status in the following national art organizations:

American Watercolor Society (AWS), Watercolor West (WW) and the California Watercolor Association (CWA).

She has exhibited paintings in juried competitions in eight art museums nationally and the Salmagundi Club in NYC. Her paintings have been accepted into 74 International and National juried shows and won many awards. She has had seven solo shows and many more two person and group shows in galleries.

Delehanty received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art and her Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Chico.

Many of the resident artists at ARTHOUSE on R will also open their studios for the Sac Open Studios 2025 Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14 and will definitely be there for Second Saturday from 5-8pm.
