* The Juneteenth Mile & Parade – A 1-mile run/walk event in partnership with Black Men Run (10:00 am)
* Main Stage Entertainment – 10 local bands – R& B, Neo Soul, Jazz, Blues & more
* The Juneteenth youth essay reading presentation- previously selected winners will read essays and receive awards on main stage.
*Juneteenth Community Soldier Awards – Presented to unheralded members of the community who are making a difference
*Juneteenth Golf Tournament (Saturday 17th @ 7:00 a.m.)
*Vendors – Saturday & Sunday
Juneteenth Health/Wellness Pavilion
* On- site health screenings
* Healthy Soul Food cooking demonstrations
* Physical activities – line dancing, Zumba
* Distribution of health-related resources
Juneteenth Arts & Education Theater:
A live painting exhibition by several local artist in partnership with the Crocker Art Museum. Other components include:
*Black history presentations on the hour – Presented by local historians
*Local African-American comic book illustrators interactive sessions
*Presentations acknowledging the accomplishments of African-Americans pre and post Emancipation
Vendors:
* Art, health products, resource information, and wares by local businesses
* Social services organizations, County, State, health organizations etc.
* Food – An array of good eats prepared by local proprietors
Children’s Area:
* Mask making
* Interactive games
* Face painting
* Art activities
Sunday Festival concludes at 6:00 p.m.
