Mona V will be performing as part of UNIQUE Programs’ Wednesday Nooner series. Nooners are always free and are hosted every Wednesday during the academic semester at 12 pm, featuring local artists and entertainment, in the University Union. She will be performing on Wednesday, February 27^th, 2019 in the University Union’s Redwood Room. There will also be free popcorn to anyone who attends.

Mona Villamayor (known as Mona V) is a local artist from Sacramento, California. In 2017, she graduated from Sac State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Her music is known to be a mix of R&B, soul, acoustic, and pop. Mona has performed in several venues in Sacramento, including the Golden 1 Center, Raley Field, Ace of Spades, and Sac State. Her most recent performance at Sac State was opening for R&B artist, Ella Mai.

“I want my audience members to relate to my messages I try to convey,” said Villamayor. “I write straight from my heart and soul. I want them to know that they’re not alone. It’s okay to be vulnerable. It’s okay to express your emotions and be your true self. We’ve all been through our own personal battles and struggles. I hope my music can help them through it all.”

The event is free to students and the general public.
