Charles Mingus is a legendary figure in the world of jazz. He is widely regarded as one of the most famous composers, bass players and band leaders of all time. Local saxophonist Byron Colborn brings his quintet to present the music of Mingus in an intimate setting at Luna’s Cafe. Opening will be the Michael Otwell Group. Otwell is a fine saxophonist and a prominent figure in the Sacramento jazz and funk scenes.
