Description
This 2-day, 16 hour course is designed for folks who travel far away from medical services. If you hunt, fish, hike, paddle, or ride in remote areas, the skills in this class will help you prepare for, avoid, and manage emergencies in the wilderness.
In addition to a 16 hour Wilderness First Aid certification from NASAR, this course features a Cal-OSHA approved First Aid/CPR certification and a California Epinephrine Auto-Injector Administration Certification.
About your instructor: Over the last decade, Ryan Armstrong has held roles such as K-12 educator, professional whitewater, backpacking, rock climbing, and snow camping guide, and EMT in the Emergency Department (ED Technician). For the last 5 years, he has been teaching Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder across the West Coast, while moonlighting as a filmset medic and water safety professional. His favorite part about teaching Wilderness First Aid is getting to know his students and creating a learning environment that prepares them for the real world.
