Celebrating 20 years, Race for the Arts’ premier event, “Off to the Races Food & Wine Tasting” http://www.RacefortheArts.com brings the sights, sounds, and sumptuous tastings in style at the California Automobile Museum on Saturday, August 4.
KFBK’s Kitty O’Neal will host the evening’s event. A food and wine pairing will be judged by the “three tenors”, the well-known and respected culinary experts Darrell Corti, David Berkley and Mike Dunne. During the blind tasting, the judges will determine the best pairing of food with wine (one brewery) and present the Judges’ Award to the winner. Additionally, as guests sample delectable delights from select restaurants, wineries and brewery, they are encouraged to vote for their favorite pairing for the People’s Choice Award.
As guests enter the museum, they will be greeted by the sounds of Rio Americano Small Jazz Ensemble, pick up their souvenir wine glasses (courtesy of Hobrecht Lighting), and stroll throughout the museum and enjoy the expansive collection of over 150 vehicles on display. A history on wheels, exhibits will take visitors past cars from 1885 and all the way through 2011. A performance by Capital Dance Project will round out the evening.
