Join us for the Sacramento edition of Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night — a FREE kid-friendly, dog-friendly, bike-friendly, everything-friendly event that is “a modern twist on strolling minstrels and caroling parties.”
WHAT: Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night is a free, outdoor participatory sound sculpture. The composition is created when many individuals of all ages simultaneously play one of four tracks on mobile devices played through a roving swarm of speakers carried through city streets.Since 1992, this 45-minute work has grown into a worldwide annual event, and this year marks the 4th annual audience-led performance in Sacramento!
WHERE: We will start and end at the Center Fountain in Fremont Park, 15th & Q Streets, Sacramento CA. This year’s route will take us down the R Street Corridor, up 10th Street past the Capitol, up L Street, through the middle of Capitol Park, and down 15th Street back to Fremont Park. WHEN: Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 6:00PM until roughly 7:00PM. This event will take place rain or shine or Sacramento-cold.
