Verge Center for the Arts is pleased to present two concurrent solo shows in its gallery: All is Well in My World by Jennifer Lugris and Brown Body, Body Hair by Chaitra Bangalore, presented at Home and Away, the second iteration of our year-end residency exhibition.
Chaitra Bangalore: Brown Body, Body Hair
In the exhibit, Brown Body, Brown Hair, Chaitra Bangalore explores issues of race, culture, sexuality and gender. She celebrates brown skin and its relationship to places and seasons, illustrates the visibility of brown women, and displays a range of personal and public scenarios in the life of a hairy woman.

Jennifer Lugris: All is Well in My World
All is Well in My World, a solo exhibition by Jennifer Lugris, spreads love and positivity while reminding viewers to have faith during trying times. The exhibition consists of vibrant, colorful, and patterned paintings of family, plants, and domestic objects. By highlighting the everyday, the ordinary, and the mundane, Lugris reminds us how our everyday lives can be extraordinary.
Home and Away is the second iteration of our year-end residency exhibition.
