Description
The Sacramento Historic City Cemetery will hold its annual Open Gardens event on Saturday, April 13 from 9:30a-2p, and on Sunday, April 14 from 11a-2p, featuring the sale of over 500 rose plants propagated from our rare and historic rose collection. On April 13, there will be tours of the Historic Rose Garden (at 10:30a and 12:30p), a history tour (at 11:00a), a silent auction, and sale of rose-related merchandise. Rose sales continue on April 14 from 11-2, with a rose “Walk and Talk” tour at 1:00 pm. The Historic Rose Garden, winner of multiple international awards, will be at peak bloom and many flowers will be blooming in the California Native Plant and Hamilton Square Perennial Plan Gardens. Visitors will be surrounded by color and fragrance amidst our lovely Gold Rush garden cemetery. The combination is not to be missed! Details are at cemeteryrose.org.
