The Afrofunk Experience – HOMEGROWN AFROBEAT, AFROROCK, REGGAE, AND ORIGINAL BAY AREA FUNK.
The Afrofunk Experience – who with Sila Mutungi comprised the award-winning group Sila and the Afrofunk Experience from it’s inception until 2010, providing songs and grooves for the entity that was dubbed “The Bay Area’s Dance Kings”, and who, with SAFE, were winners of the NAACP Image Award’s Outstanding World Music Album for “Black President” and winners of The SF Weekly Music Award’s Best International Act.
In 2009 the Afrofunk Experience parted ways with Sila.
